President/CMO

Hello, I am the President and CMO of Benefit Specialists Inc.  I have been in insurance industry for over 30 years.

After many years, technology has opened many options for you, your family and your business.  What we do is provide the products and services on an easy to understand format.  Many of our applications today can be done right over the Internet, providing you with faster underwriting approval.

Let me give you a little information about my background.  I have been licensed since 1978, currently holding a Life, Health and Property and Casualty license by the State of Florida.

During my career in the financial service industry, I have worked in many different areas.  I started my career, as an agent with Life Insurance Company of Virginia in 1978.  I spent almost ten years building the insurance centers for the K-Mart Insurance Group in the eastern United States providing K-Mart customers with quality life and health products as well as auto and homeowners.  As a Divisional Manager for United Group Association and Regional Manager for United Benefit Life Insurance Company as well as American Medical Security, I worked closely in all aspects of the insurance industry with agents and customers alike.

The hard work of my team with honesty and dedication to our customers awarded me many industry honors over my career; including Rookie of the Year - Life of Virginia 1978, Field Sales Manager of the Year - Lone Star Life 1980 - 1981 - 1982, District Insurance Sales Manager of the Year - K-Mart Insurance Group 1984 - 1985, Presidents' Council - United Group Association 1990 - 1991 - 1993, Top District Manager for United Group Association 1991, Top Regional Manager - United Benefit Life 1996, from 1998 to November of 2007 I worked for the Branch office division of United American Insurance Company.  One of my highest industry honors was to be elected to the Presidents’ Council for United American Insurance Company from 2002 through 2004; Honors Club for the same company 1999 - 2000, Presidents' Club 2001 - 2002 - 2003.

Shannicka Grenald

Shannicka was born and raised in Panama, Republic of Panama. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance from Universidad Lationamericana de Ciencias y Tecnologia - U.L.A.C.I.T. (Latin-American University of Sciences and Technology) in Panama in 2003. She has been a resident of Ft Lauderdale since 2004.

Shanni is life, health and variable annuities licensed and is also a licensed Mortgage Broker for the State of Florida. She started her career only working with life insurance through Primerica in 2005. In 2006 and since, she has been working the health insurance industry where she started with United American Insurance Company. With United American Insurance Company, she was a Unit Manager for one of their Branches. Then she came on board with Benefit Specialists Inc. November of 2007 as Director of Recruiting and Training, and as of January 1, 2009 the Vice-President / Secretary for the agency.

Her experience includes working with small businesses, individuals and families to assist them with their health insurance needs, helping to insure individuals previously declined for coverage, also working with seniors Medicare eligible and with the ones that do not have Medicare benefits as well. Among her duties, she also provides support to our agents that work in our Health Insurance Division.
